Pontifical Mission Societies Malawi National Office on Sunday 7 August 2022 launched two songs on the four missionary anniversaries. The two songs one in English and one in the local language of Chichewa have been composed and produces by four young people of the same family, the Mbewe Family.
The launch took place at the National Catholic television - Luntha tv in Malawi. The launch of the songs is part of the National Office preparations for the celebration of the four missionary anniversaries and World Mission Sunday on 23 October and October Mission month 2022.
The young people who were animated by the National PMS have used their natural talent to compose and spread the message of the anniversaries and help animate people of the significance of the jubilees. The young people are Evalister, Daniel, Robin and Steven of the same family who come from the small Christian community of St. Clare in Chigwirizano Squatter area in the Parish of Holy Rosary Likuni Parish in the Archdiocese of Lilongwe.
The young people after composing the songs, they recorded using their home-made amateur studio using second hand laptop. These are the untapped talents of young people in the rural setting.
Pontifical Mission Societies Malawi sponsored the composition and video production of the two songs.
