Cultural Programs by Missio Children on NET TV
Part of the work of Missio Children is to raise awareness on the mission with children from an early age. To this end, Missio Children has started doing programs on Net TV called Missio Children. These are ten minute programs a day in which we give information about different countries and learn about their cultures and their traditions. Each program will also feature a country-related kraft session.
As many people in the world today travel from one place to another and even live in other countries for a long time, they learn the cultures of the place, the language and the customs. It is good that the people of the host country learn a little about the cultures of foreign people. This improves communication by getting to know the person, being able to understand their situation and even their history. All this creates a true and genuine friendship.
This is also our missionary work.
During a meeting with members of Catholic Media, Pope Francis said: “To work in service to truth thus means to seek the things that foster communion and promote the good of all, not those that isolate, divide and oppose. Not those things that lead to conflict” (28 January 2022).
Meeting different people with different cultures and even if different we do our best to learn from them, broadens the vision and leads to true communication. This is an asset that opens the mind and heart to those around us. Talking is not just about talking, it is about meeting, being with, listening to, understanding and, above all, laughing or crying. This is important for us to learn to see things through a different lens by sharing ideas. This increases our ability to be creative. With this kind of communion we also realize how alike we really are.
