The steps of the missionary who walks among the people and in the midst of the homes open the video made by the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) of the Philippines. This year, in addition to the ordinary material consisting of posters and flyers, the PMS of the Philippines have created a missionary animation video aimed at raising funds of about four minutes. Cardinal Tagle, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization - Section for the First Evangelization and the New Particular Churches, whose words can be heard in the video, enters into the heart of the World Mission Day theme ‘Go and invite all to the banquet (cf. Mt 22:9)’; his words are intertwined with the images of the Eucharistic banquet but also of the bread and food offered by the missionaries and Jesus. The bread that satisfies body and soul is at the center of the video which is a great invitation to share this “treasure” with everyone. Also very significant was the appeal by the Bishop in charge of the missions of the Bishops Conference of the Philippines, Monsignor Socrates Mesiona MSP, Apostolic Vicar of Puerto Princesa, to participate in World Mission Day and thus support the Pontifical Mission Societies.
