The Parish of St. Anthony of Mohipara, in the Diocese of Rajshahi, has been created as a full-fledged parish in 2007. There are also some catechumen villages under this Parish. The people are poor. Children from different villages attend the parish primary and junior high schools. The religious sisters and catechists help the village people to receive the Christian faith. Together with the priests, they work hard to deepen the faith and to inculcate the Gospel values in the people.
The faith formation and animation of children are organized at the village and the Parish level. The activities include catechism classes, religious hymn practice, prayer session and retreat for children. The villages are scattered and far from the Parish centre. Therefore, the Holy Childhood animators visit village to village and organize programs for small groups of children. Then, for a better formation and education, the children are gathered at the parish centre at least for one week.
All programs are done with the help of the Holy Childhood. Thanks to the subsidy received from Sancta Infantia, the children are provided with text-books, tuition fees, food, dress, school uniforms, medicines etc. The children are very thankful to the benefactors.
