14 January: The Pontifical Missionary Childhood (PMC) held their mass at the Holy Family Basilica. The main mass celebrant was his Eminence John Cardinal Njue.

This years theme is: "May they be one" John 17;11-15. Held annually by the Pontifical Missionary Childhood society, the outdoor service drew more than 30,000 children from around the Archdiocese of Nairobi.
11 March: Zone C Kiambu,Limuru and Githunguri Deanery had their PMC mass at St. Peter and Paul Primary School Ground. Mass was led by his Eminence John Cardinal Njue. During the Homily he talked of this years theme "May they be one" John 17;11-15 and also urged the congregation to pray for Kenya.
29 April: The Pontifical Missionary Childhood held their festivals at St. Joseph Loreto - Limuru.
From Choral Verse, Public speaking, Solo Verse, Singing Game and Sacred folk song, indeed it was a day of laughter and enjoyment.
5 July: Pontifical Missionary Childhood held their Zone B Mass at Regina Caeli Catholic Church, Karen on 15th July 2017.
Mass was led by His Eminence John Cardinal Njue. He urged the children to respect their parents and also pray for peace in Kenya.
9 July: Pontifical Missionary Childhood celebrations in Naoi Parish.
