GLOBAL VIDEO 2026: THE 2026 GLOBAL VIDEO FOR WORLD MISSION SUNDAY IS NOW ONLINE

The Pontifical Mission Societies’ usual video in preparation for World Mission Sunday 2026 is now available. It was conceived and produced by the coordinating group of the Pontifical Mission Societies’ Commission for Communication, Faith Fundraising and Digital Transformation

The video grew out of listening to the words the Holy Father addressed to us during our meeting at this year’s General Assembly, and those words provide its guiding thread.

“One in Christ, united in mission” is the theme chosen by the Pope for World Mission Sunday 2026, a particularly significant occasion that marks its 100th anniversary this year. The video brings together the voices and testimonies of many people from different parts of the world who wished to offer their contribution and support. We extend our sincere thanks to them all.

The faces featured throughout the video belong to missionaries, members of local communities, young people, volunteers, religious sisters and brothers, collaborators of the PMS, and several directors. Through their words and experiences, the richness, diversity and beauty of our universal missionary family come to the fore: a family united in the shared responsibility of proclaiming the Gospel and supporting the mission of the Church.

We therefore invite you to share this video widely in your own communities. In particular, we strongly encourage you to make it available to your bishops, parishes, movements and ecclesial associations, and to help disseminate it as widely as possible so that it may reach the greatest possible number of people.

This is a simple yet meaningful communication tool intended to help draw attention to the fundamental importance of World Mission Sunday. It is a special occasion when the whole Church unites in prayer for missionaries and renews its commitment in concrete ways, so that the Word of God may reach every corner of the earth, with particular concern for the poorest and most needy.

The video is currently available in English, and in the coming hours we will add the versions we are preparing for you to the link below!
