Bulletin n. 8 of the Pontifical Society of the Holy Childhood

Bulletin no. 8, May 2021, of the Pontifical Society of the Holy Childhood will shortly be released. The Bulletin focuses on "The value and significance of witness in the lives of children and adolescents today" article by Fr. Adamar A. Peña, priest and psychologist of the Archdiocese of Huambo in Angola. In this Church's journey towards Pentecost, it is necessary to develop the awareness that joy is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit "And who more than a child and adolescent today can be an influencer of joy, that simple, straightforward joy, that amazes and strikes and manages to involve everyone. In this time still oppressed by the pandemic it seems out of place to speak of joy, of joyful witness, but for us Christians it should be something natural, spontaneous that is strengthened precisely in these moments. So I would like to share my joy with each of you, that joy that also derives from the many testimonies that reach the International Secretariat from all over the world and nourish us with hope and trust", writes Sr. Roberta Tremarelli, Secretary General of the Pontifical Society Holy Childhood in her editorial, who continues "In this month of May we celebrate the 178 years of the Foundation of the Society of the Holy Childhood and we are about to celebrate 100 years as a Pontifical Society next year. 

It is good to celebrate anniversaries to commemorate a past full of graces and blessings, spread throughout the world by missionary children and young people, but also to recognize, today, the relevance and validity of this Society and its charism. 

In this new issue of the Bulletin we wish to emphasize this vitality through the presentation of what some National Directions of the PMS around the world have proposed in this last year marked by the pandemic".
