Reflecting on the developments of the 6th American Missionary Congress (CAM6) and drawing up guidelines for local Churches in 2025. These were the themes of the Continental Assembly of the Directors of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) who gathered from March 9 to 11 in San Juan, Costa Rica. The event, in which 14 countries were represented, saw the participation of Father Dinh Anh Nhue Nguyen, OFMConv, general secretary of the Pontifical Missionary Union remotely. Father Nguyen reiterated the importance of knowing and sharing the Pope's message for World Mission Day 2025 and took the opportunity to announce an online international missionary refresher course, which will take place from October this year until May 2026.

Another significant topic discussed during the initiative was the revision of two statutes of the PMS at the international level. The proposals, resulting from the discussion among the directors, will be presented in May during the General Assembly of the PMS in Rome. The Assembly, also discussed the next American Missionary Congress, or CAM7, to be held in Brazil.  Sister Regina da Costa Pedro, Director of the Brazilian PMS, speaking on this said: "We know the commitment this entails, but we remain confident and happy to be able to provide this service to the Church of the Americas and to the universal Church".
