We publish the video (and its transcript) in which Sister Inês Paulo Albino, Secretary General of the Pontifical Society of Missionary Childhood, thanks missionary children and adolescents for responding to her appeal to pray for peace throughout the world.
The mission for which Monsignor Charles De Forbin-Janson founded the Holy Childhood Society (IAM)
continues to be a prophetic sign of God's presence working in the history of humanity
Dear children and young people, first of all, thank you for who you are and for what you do!
Thank you for having responded to my appeal to intensify prayer for peace in the world.
You are already missionaries, you are small, but you have hearts as big as the sky. You are the light that illuminates the whole world with your constant prayer for the Church’s mission and for peace in the world, through your witness; through your generous sharing of economic resources and other material goods with those in need.
Peace is a vital necessity for our world. Hatred, wars, and the sufferings that come from the situation we live in are not God’s will.
That is why your prayers for peace are indispensable at this very moment.
Through simple gestures, you are transforming people's hearts and teaching us adults how to live the Gospel in a concrete way. Thank you!
Continue to be missionaries of hope and peace, everywhere.
Continue to awaken the missionary conscience in everyone and shake the world with the presence of Missionary Childhood and Adolescence. Bring hope to life!
And finally, the most important thing: do not let anyone steal the hope and enthusiasm of sharing that is within you. Believe me, this makes all the difference. Be strong and go forward!
I carry you in my heart and assure you of my prayers.
