
MISSIO NETHERLANDS: Friday, October 18, a symposium on “Bible and Mission” in collaboration with the Tilburg School of Catholic Theology
On Friday, October 18, there will be a symposium on “Bible and Mission” in Dutch and English from 12:30 to 5 p.m, organized by the national direction of the Pontifical Mission Societies of the Netherlands, better known as Missio Netherlands, in collaboration with the Tilburg School of Catholic Theology.
Two basic questions will be addressed: “What is essential for a missionary attitude from a biblical point of view?” and “How can the Bible work in a missionary approach?”. The speakers will analyze the topic from different points of view and concrete guidelines for daily missionary practice in the parish will also be provided. Speakers will include Msgr. Jan Liesen, Bishop of Breda, and Professor Núria Calduch Benages, Director of the Department of Biblical Theology and Professor of Old Testament at the Pontifical Gregorian University, as well as Visiting Professor at the Pontifical Biblical Institute and Secretary of the Pontifical Biblical Commission. The symposium will be concluded with a final lecture by Father Dr. Dinh Anh Nhue Nguyen OFMConv, Secretary General of the Pontifical Missionary Union and Visiting Professor at the Pontifical Gregorian University.
