The Bible and Mission Study Summer Camp Ayubia 2025 (Pilgrims and Missionaries of Hope) was organized by Catholic Bible Commission Pakistan (CBCP) under the guidance of the Fr. Dinh Anh Nhue Nguyen, OFM Conv, Secretary general of the Pontifical Missionary Union, together with the national direction of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Pakistan, from 13th to 18th July, 2025. There were 52 participants from five dioceses in Pakistan (24 females and 28 male).

Eight themes were covered by six resource persons.

Based on John 20: 20-21 a thought - provoking talk was delivered by Rev.Fr. Samson Joseph Shahzad on Jesus the Supreme Model of Missionary. He highlighted Jesus Christ as the Ultimate example for Missionaries Worldwide. Further he emphasized Jesus’ life, teachings, and ministry as a model for Christians missionary work.

Fr. Samson Joseph Shahzad delivered his second talk on Biblical Spirituality of Hope, depicting the theme of Jubilee Year 2025 Pilgrims of Hope announced by Pope Francis. Fr. Samson’s presentation provided valuable insights into the Biblical Spirituality of Hope, inspiring participants to nurture a more profound and enduring hope in their lives.

Ms. Marina Meshail delivered her scholarly talk on Dei Verbum, a Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation, is one of the principal documents of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) promulgated by Pope Paul VI on November 18th 1965, it explores the nature of divine revelation and its transmission through scripture and tradition. Ms. Marina in her closing notes emphasized that Dei Verbum affirms that when the faithful listen, proclaim, and contemplate God’s Word in faith and reverence, the Church flourishes—evangelization spreads swiftly, and divine truth takes root in hearts and lives.

Mrs. Rahat Farnaz in her talk emphasized the importance of understanding the Word of God and its application in our lives. She also threw some light on the challenges faced by the Christians of Pakistan. The Word of God is at the very heart of the Church's life and mission. It is through Scripture that the Church listens to God's voice, discerns His will, and is nourished in faith.

Word of God and Cultural a beautiful and demanding topic dealt by Mr. Tariq Tufail. In his reflection he emphasized the significance of understanding and the importance of relationship between the Word of God and the Culture it is proclaimed in.

The relationship between Culture and the Bible is both dynamic and enriching. While the Bible was written in specific historical and cultural contexts, its message transcends time and continues to speak meaningfully to every culture and generation.

Finally, through the messages of Pope Francis for the World Mission Sundays 2023-2025 the faithful were reminded that mission is not a task for the few but a shared responsibility of all the baptized. The Holy Spirit continues to guide and empower the Church to go forth—to the poor, to the forgotten, to those who have yet to encounter the Good News.
